How Does Aid Support Women’s Economic Empowerment?
Abstract
This brief provides an overview of ODA committed by members of the OECD Development Assistance
Committee (DAC) focussed on gender equality and women’s empowerment in the economic and productive
sectors on average per year in 2015-2016.4 The economic and productive sectors have been selected for
this analysis because they are essential for women’s economic empowerment.
