Resolution 50/166-The role of the United Nations Development Fund for Women in eliminating violence against women
Abstract
This document presents resolution 50/166 on the role of the UN Development Fund for Women in eliminating violence against women. Through this resolution, the General Assembly requests the Fund to take into account the need to take more active steps to eliminate violence against women as part of the overall effort to eliminate violence against women By the United Nations system, focusing on activities, particularly at the national and local levels, and calls upon Member States to foster cooperation with the Fund in this regard
