Resolution 67-144 Intensification of efforts to eliminate all forms of violence against women

Abstract
This document presents resolution 67/144 on intensifying action to eliminate all forms of violence against women adopted by the General Assembly on 20 December 2012 at its sixty-seventh session. The GA Stresses the importance of States firmly condemning violence against women in all their forms and refraining from invoking any custom, tradition or religious consideration in order to avoid their obligation to The Declaration on the Elimination of Violence against Women and that States have an obligation at all levels to promote and protect all human rights and Fundamental freedoms for all, including women and girls, and to act with due diligence to prevent, investigate, prosecute and punish perpetrators of violence against them, and end impunity , That they should ensure the protection of victims, in particular by ensuring that law enforcement and judicial authorities properly enforce civil remedies, ordinances Protection and penal sanctions, and providing psychosocial and counseling services and other types of support services to victims of reception centers, to prevent further abuse , And that this will help women victims of violence to enjoy their basic rights and freedoms
