Medical Protocol-Guidelines for Management of Victims of GBV (including sexual violence)
Abstract
This document represent a draft of Medical Protocol Guidelines for Management of Victims of GBV (including sexual violence), produced by Ministry of Health and Population and the National Council for Women, in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund and national stakeholder, in the framework of the development of the national strategy to combat gender-based violence, as well as the development of five-year plan for the implementation of this strategy.
This guideline present integrated definition of types of violence, international and national laws to address violence, the role of health service provider in the detection of attacks of various kinds, the initial deal therapeutic (psychological and medical), documentation, reporting and referral to receive other specialized services, dealing with victims of physical assaults and domestic violence, dealing with victims of sexual abuse (including rape) and finally the annexes that have been referred to the content of the guideline.
