The study was published in preparation for a regional report based on studies conducted in five Arab countries.
The report is the result of a field study that covered 196 women entrepreneurs in Tunisia with the aim to familiarize stakeholders with the characteristics of women’s enterprises, their contributions to economic development and the most important challenges facing them.
The report also addressed the economic environment and challenges posed to women owned businesses as well as the involvement of women entrepreneurs in world trade an their use of modern technologies, as well as sources of financing and prospects for their development.
The report received the support of the international financing cooperation and was carried out in collaboration with the higher institute of management and the national chamber of women entrepreneurs.
