Under the joint regional initiative between the Center for Arab Women Training and Research “CAWTAR” and the International Labor Organization – Regional Office for Arab countries on “Gender equality and the Rights of Workers in informal Economies of Arab countries”, with the support of the International Center for Research and Development and the Arab Gulf Program for United Nations Development Organizations, is on of five national studies conducted in Tunisia, Lebanon, Yemen, Egypt and Palestine.

The study provides a definition of informal labor in the Palestinian context and a general review of relevant surveys and a general review of relevant surveys and studies. By focusing on the characteristics of informal labor in the private and public sectors and in legislation for women.
