The workbook is a practical guide for the implementation of successful programs and experiences in addressing discriminatory social practices and beliefs that hinder gender equality in the Middle East and North Africa.
It contains 16 experiences of specialized programs and networks covering different areas such as health, education, political participation, economics, literature and information technology. The guide targets several categories including non-governmental organizations, specialized institutions, research centers, workers in field research and trainers, in order to enable them to familiarize themselves with successful experiences and their application and make the most out of them in carrying out their current and future projects and activities.
The guide was prepared in the framework of the project “Gender Equity and Social practices” with the support of the Ford Foundation.
