The publication includes the best photos submitted for the competition on the theme “women and men working in the informal sector in the Arab region”, in an attempt to illustrate the marginalization experienced by many groups of women and men engaged in informal economic sectors in the Arab region.

The handbook is issued within the framework of the project of “Gender Equality and Workers’ Rights in the informal Economies of Arab States”, Which is supported by the Arab Gulf Program for United Nations Development Organizations, the international Labor Organization and the International Development Researches Center in Canada.
