Arab Women’s Bibliography – Phase I is the outcome of a bibliographic research conducted in eight Arab countries: Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Morocco, Yemen and Egypt.
Arab Women’s Bibliography – Phase II is the outcome of a bibliographic research conducted in five Arab countries: Mauritania, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Oman and Egypt.
This study aims to provide a comprehensive bibliographic database on studies and research works addressing women issues; to evaluate these works; to examine their theoretical foundations and practical result; and to point out difficulties facing their publication and documentation.
The areas of study include women and development in human, social and applied sciences (sociology, history, legal science, economics, demography, literature, psychology, anthropology, etc…); women’s health, labor, education, role in public life, participation in decision-making… Volumes I and III covers documents written in Arabic. Volumes II an IV covers documents written in English and French.
