This is a four-volume publication: Volume I concerns the Emirates study (out of stock) ; volume 2 the Lebanon study ; volume 3 the Sudan study ; volume 4 is an analytical book.

This publication is the result of a comprehensive study on the various factors that influence women’s participation in labor; and the level and quality of that participation.

It aims to disseminate information on women and labor, in order to sensitize decision-makers, planners and practitioners in socio-economic development to the needs of women in the Arab region and to the necessity to get them involved in the development process. It also aims to help formulate policies, strategies and action plans that would promote women’s work opportunities and improve their work conditions, performance and income.

The book addresses and analyzes the labor situation of Arab women at the social, economic, economic, political, cultural, legal and administrative levels. It also specifies the conceptual framework of the study and recommends an Arab strategy for the improvement of Arab women’s labor situation.
