The Third Arab Women Development Report aimed to monitor Arab research conducted between 1995 and 2005 on women and media and highlight their findings and recommendations with the aim of identifying reasons that cause the image of women in the media and their relationship with it as producers and consumers to be their current negative state. The report contains an initial section that addresses the Arab media, the communication landscape, the changes introduced to it and the situation of Arab women communicators within the domain. The second section contains an analysis of Arab research according to major topics that addresses the public and women as subjects, images, producers, and consumers and their role in regard to information and communication technologies.
The report was issued in cooperation with the United Nations Development Fund for Women and the @nged and with the support of the Arab Gulf Program for United Nations Development Organizations.
