Abstract
This document presents a book on Harvesting Feminist Knowledge for Public Policy. The chapters of this book draw on the diversity of socioeconomic experiences of women in different countries. The policies and priorities that they suggest emerge from an engagement with the State, the United Nations, and the women’s movement. The chapters argue for new ways of thinking about development, and offer ideas for reformulating development to secure social, economic, and political justice. All the contributors agree that gender inequality has to be situated within the context of other forms of inequality, and that efforts to promote
