A Community based study on the change of practice FGM Sudan
Abstract
This document presents a community based study on the change of practice female genital mutilation in a Sudanese village. The study was carried out in a village in the Gezira scheme along the Blue Nile, where the development project ‘Sudan Village Concept Project ‘was underway. The survey was presented to the villagers as an activity of the development project. The aim of this study was to investigate the practice of FGM in a rural area in Sudan, and to determine what factors influence this practice among men and women of a young parental generation and a generation of grandparents.
